Site Trainer – Food ManufacturingLocation: Co. Monaghan
Type: Full-time, Permanent, On-site
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experienceA well-established food manufacturing company, currently undergoing a significant multi-million-euro site expansion, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Trainer to join its team. This is a key role in supporting the continuous development of staff and ensuring compliance across all training activities.About the Role:
Reporting directly to the HR Manager, the Trainer will be responsible for developing, organising, and delivering training programmes across the site. This includes induction training, compliance training (e.g. manual handling and food safety), and job-specific skills development. The role also involves maintaining training systems and records, supporting audits, and liaising with both internal teams and external training providers.Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate new starter induction, including manual handling and food safety training
  • Maintain and promote the use of the Nvolve training system
  • Develop and deliver in-house training for SOPs and work instructions
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify training needs and track staff progress
  • Maintain training matrices, training records, and prepare reports for management
  • Coordinate external training (First Aid, Forklift, Shunter, Reach Truck, etc.)
  • Support preparation for factory audits
  • Represent the company at job fairs and career events
  • Ensure training materials remain current and effective
  • Enrol new employees on time and attendance systems
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop training content and use training software
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using a training management system (e.g., Nvolve) is desirable
  • “Train the Trainer” qualification is preferred
  • Experience with BRC standards is an advantage
