Production Manager steel manufacturing

• Direct all aspects of the production lifecycle from steel fabrication to final assembly and finishing.
• Monitor and manage daily output to meet scheduled targets and customer deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and internal specifications.

• Lead a team of fabricators and general operatives to deliver operational excellence.
• Set performance goals, provide mentoring, and support skills development.
• Foster a positive, solutions-focused culture on the production floor.

• Collaborate with the design office to ensure production aligns with technical specifications.
• Work with procurement to secure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
• Coordinate with logistics to ensure on-time dispatch and delivery of finished products.

• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Drive lean manufacturing principles where applicable.

• Ensure all operations meet Health & Safety Authority (HSA) standards.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain safety documentation.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within steel fabrication or construction manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead production teams in a high-paced environment.
• Strong working knowledge of steel fabrication techniques (e.g., CNC, cutting, welding).
• Background in manufacturing systems and process optimisation.
• Third-level qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (desirable).
