The Group is experiencing significant growth due to its focus on off-site construction methods (OSM) of delivering turnkey projects, meaning on-site construction time is kept to a minimum.Role OverviewWhitewater is seeking an experienced and driven Senior MEP Engineer to lead the technical delivery of high-value water treatment projects across Europe. This Ireland-based role will require travel of up to 30% for project coordination, site inspections, and client interface. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, exceptional project coordination skills, and the ability to take full engineering ownership across all phases of a project lifecycle.This is a key position within a growing engineering team, offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge water treatment solutions in the Data Centre, Pharma, and Industrial sectors.Main Duties and Responsibilities· Lead the MEP engineering scope of turnkey water treatment projects from design through to commissioning and client handover.· Provide technical leadership and oversight to internal teams and subcontractors across multiple project sites.· Review and approve detailed mechanical and electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.· Serve as the primary MEP technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and site teams.· Drive coordination between mechanical, electrical, process, and civil disciplines to ensure seamless integration and delivery.· Oversee the procurement of major MEP equipment and materials, including vendor selection, technical reviews, and logistics planning.· Monitor and enforce compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards across project sites.· Conduct and lead site visits (approx. 30% travel) to support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.· Mentor junior engineers and support the development of engineering best practices and standardised processes.· Provide regular progress reports, risk assessments, and input into project planning and financial tracking.Required Qualifications and Experience· Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or a related Engineering discipline.· Minimum 6+ years of relevant engineering experience, with a strong background in MEP systems in industrial or process environments.· Proven track record in delivering complex MEP projects through all stages – from concept to commissioning.· Excellent technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, pumps, instrumentation, and control systems.· Strong understanding of project management processes and tools, including scheduling, budgeting, and contract management.· Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
