As a General Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional customer service across various aspects of our organisation.
  • Provide excellent customer service by anticipating and addressing guests' needs promptly and professionally
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all work areas, including kitchen and dining spaces
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and a positive work environment
  • Assist with various tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support different departments
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, as well as specific food service guidelines
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with empathy and professionalism
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and team members
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Support inventory management by reporting low stock levels and assisting with restocking when required
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Adaptability and problem-solving capabilities to handle various situations effectively
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in the food service industry, is advantageous but not essential
  • Passion for delivering exceptional service and creating positive guest experiences
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings as required
  • Basic computer literacy for using point-of-sale systems and other relevant software
