As a General Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional customer service across various aspects of our organisation.

Provide excellent customer service by anticipating and addressing guests' needs promptly and professionally
Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all work areas, including kitchen and dining spaces
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and a positive work environment
Assist with various tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support different departments
Comply with health and safety regulations, as well as specific food service guidelines
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with empathy and professionalism
Contribute to creating an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for both guests and team members
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Support inventory management by reporting low stock levels and assisting with restocking when required

Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
Adaptability and problem-solving capabilities to handle various situations effectively
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in the food service industry, is advantageous but not essential
Passion for delivering exceptional service and creating positive guest experiences
Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings as required
Basic computer literacy for using point-of-sale systems and other relevant software
