This is what you will do:Be a key member of Alexion Astrazeneca Rare Disease's Group Controllers team based in DublinManage specified elements of the Global COGS and Inventory month end & quarter end reporting for the Rare Disease UnitInteract with and learn from both Global Operations and Finance teamsDevelop core understanding of Alexion's inventory management and product flowsWork closely with Alexion Ireland team, Supply chain and Quality colleagues both locally and globally, determining the appropriate accounting treatments for changes in facts and circumstances in COGS, while adhering to global deadlinesYou will be responsible for:Preparing/reviewing inputs to Global Inventory & COGS month end & quarter end reporting including the preparation of financial analysis & commentaryPerforming month end tasks on a timely and accurate basisAssessing risks to inventory on a monthly and quarterly basis via liaison with Global Operations Manufacturing colleaguesEstablishing clear lines of communication with Global Operations colleagues to ensure transparency on financial position of risksManaging output of outsourced provider resources to ensure accurate and complete performance of month end and quarter end tasksReviewing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and follow up & resolve reconciling items in a timely mannerEstablishing strong working relationships with the Controllers team, Global Operations and FP&AOperating within the required SOX controls framework, completing assigned control procedures, and supporting with specified SOX activitiesActively supporting global & statutory audit processes (across IFRS, US GAAP and FRS 102)Managing process for clinical manufacturing, including interacting with relevant stakeholders, to ensure appropriate accountingSupporting on new product integration across systems, accounting and reporting as requiredDriving continuous improvement initiatives to implement system and/or process enhancements for the month-end closing cycle, embracing digital automation and AI.Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis and queriesYou will need to have:Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc.)Minimum 3 years' industry/post qualification experienceHigh level of Microsoft Office Excel proficiencyStrong numeracy skills with focus on attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsWe would prefer for you to have:Natural curiosity and ability to learn quicklyManufacturing Accounting experienceUnderstanding of US GAAP & IFRS accounting principlesMultinational pharmaceutical experienceDate Posted 03-Sep-2025Closing Date 02-Oct-2025Our mission is to build an inclusive and equitable environment.
