Meta is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This is a full-time position on our Compensation & Benefits Accounting pillar, within our Corporate Accounting team. You will be expected to problem solve, manage projects, design innovative technologies that can scale our accounting processes, and exercise good business judgment while performing your functions. You will have experience of consistently working under your own initiative, seeking feedback and input where appropriate. You are a proactive and focused individual with proven partnership and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with internal and external partners at all levels.Corporate Accounting Manager ResponsibilitiesWork as part of the Compensation & Benefits Accounting pillar, within Corporate Accounting, with responsibility for key financial reporting areas (Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet)Manage and execute regional and global payroll accounting and reporting processes as part of Meta's monthly US GAAP (United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) financial close. This role includes serving as a hands-on team member responsible for performing and reviewing accounting transactions including journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysisDeliver high-quality and timely reporting as part of the quarterly SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) reporting cycle, including management reporting, insights and analysisEnsure compliance with key controls and audit requirements, and provide accounting support to our statutory compliance teamsLead projects to identify, design, test and roll-out new financial reporting systems and tools. Partner with our global team to optimize scalable accounting processes, systems & controlsNurture effective business partnerships and manage service levels with outsourced service providersMinimum QualificationsRecognized accounting qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)7+ years of accounting experience within the Record-to-Report or Corporate Accounting function of a large, fast-growing, multi-national companyDemonstrated planning, interpersonal, executive communication and presentation skillsComputer and analytical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel (experience with Oracle ERP and/or Hyperion Essbase is an advantage). Skilled in comprehending end-to-end systems that impact accounting & financial reporting processesEffective collaborator who enjoys working within a larger team distributed across multiple geographic locationsClose attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the 'big picture' and the importance of risk mitigation and an effective controls environment, including data privacyPreferred QualificationsRelated industry experienceExperience within the payroll and benefits accounting function of a large organizationAbout MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
