The QC Scheduler will ensure effective utilization of laboratory equipment, facilities, and personnel. The QC Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating the ADMF laboratory's daily schedules, ensuring that all laboratory activities are efficiently planned and scheduled in coordination with the department's needs and priorities.You will be responsible for:
  • Develop lab schedules and prioritize testing in accordance with standard testing cycles, lean labs principles, test complexity, and resource availability.
  • Attend all laboratory, manufacturing, planning tiers to ensure full visibility of testing requirements and priorities. Incorporate non-testing, enabling activities in the schedule, including project work, investigation/issue management, lab investigations, ad hoc testing, training etc.
  • Ensure the lab schedule is designed with the flexibility to adhere to standard testing cycles, as well as accommodating a defined volume of flexible work.
  • Collaborate with QC teams teams to ensure all priorities are identified and captured in the QC schedule and escalate potential issues/risks through tiered accountability process.
  • Collaborate with the Lab Equipment team to integrate equipment maintenance schedules and calibration requirements.
  • Coordinate with laboratory managers to ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and personnel are assigned to support testing schedules.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and minimize testing turnaround times.
  • Devise and maintain performance reporting KPIs e.g. adherence to schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality control procedures.
You will need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in science or a related field.
  • Prior experience in laboratory scheduling or project management.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to accurately record and document laboratory activities.
  • Ability to work independently, across teams/departments and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software and other relevant analytical software.
