- Define and execute the Data & AI strategy in alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Develop a roadmap for data governance, security, and compliance.
- Act as a thought leader, advising CTO’s, product owner and managers and other stakeholders on best practices and emerging trends in AI and data governance.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Architecture, Portfolio Engineering teams, Infrastructure, Security, and Support teams to ensure an integrated approach to data management.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, frameworks, and standards.
- Oversee data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage using tools like Microsoft Purview.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR.
- Guide the design and implementation of data architecture using Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric by defining guardrails and guidelines for design and development.
- Define governance processes for Azure OpenAI, ML models, and data-driven AI solutions.
- Provide training and mentorship to business and technical teams on data governance best practices.
- 10+ years in data strategy, governance, or data management roles.
- Strong experience with Azure Data Services, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Deep understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA, DCAM) and compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with data cataloging, metadata management, and lineage tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Collibra).
- Knowledge of AI/ML governance, including responsible AI principles.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Spark for data processing and analytics.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
