You’ll join a growing team responsible for developing industry-leading analytics, reporting, and operational insights. We’re looking for someone who is self-directed, creative, and thrives in solving complex problems.As a Senior Data Analyst, you will lead efforts to support the In-Office Assessment (IOA) program, ensuring successful deployment of new initiatives through cross-functional coordination, solution validation, and continuous improvement. This role blends analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and project execution.You’ll need to be pragmatic, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment—whether that’s shifting requirements or emerging technologies.Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours of Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders—including business partners, SMEs, and BAs—to design and deliver dashboards and performance reports that drive business improvement
  • Engage with internal customers to gather requirements and implement reporting solutions that are accurate, actionable, and well-documented
  • Manage the implementation of reporting enhancements and adapt solutions as business needs evolve
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, in both verbal and written formats
  • Develop efficient, maintainable, and well-structured processes using core workflow principles
  • Investigate data variances across tables and provide clear reconciliations and explanations to stakeholders
  • Apply data analysis techniques (e.g., correlation analysis) to uncover patterns and generate actionable insights from disparate data sources
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Leverage emerging technologies to drive innovation in Business Intelligence and Analytics

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a technical field OR equivalent professional experience
  • Proven experience identifying business requirements and challenges in collaboration with senior leaders, and resolving them through innovative technical solutions
  • Experience in data analysis and report development using tools such as SQL
  • Extensive hands-on experience with data visualization and dashboard tools (including but not limited to Tableau or Power BI, etc)
  • Knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, systems design, data management, and data warehousing concepts
  • Proven track record of leading Business Intelligence projects from concept to delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with data blending and ETL tools, including Snowflake and SQL
  • Skilled in documenting business requirements and acting as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, self-directed environments
  • Power BI certified, with a strong foundation in dashboard development and data storytelling
  • Experience working with healthcare analytics products and datasets
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python for data manipulation and automation
  • Design sensibility with expertise in visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and color theory
Soft Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate effectively across diverse teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levels
