We're delighted to be working with a leading global reinsurer to support the expansion of their Non-Life Reserving team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary with a minimum of three years' reserving experience to join a highly regarded actuarial function within an international, collaborative environment.About the RoleYou'll work as part of a high-performing global reserving team responsible for the non-life reinsurance portfolio outside of the Americas. The role offers exposure to a wide range of business lines and the opportunity to collaborate with underwriting, pricing, claims, and finance functions. As a Reserving Actuary, you'll be involved in deep dive reserve reviews, quarterly closing processes, and initiatives to drive innovation and automation in actuarial processes.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport deep dive reserve reviews across international non-life reinsurance portfolios
  • Contribute to the determination of Actuarial Central Estimates and Management Best Estimates
  • Assist in the quarterly financial close process, ensuring accuracy in reserving figures
  • Enhance reserving processes through automation and data-led improvements
  • Communicate reserving insights effectively with underwriting, pricing, claims, and finance teams
Candidate Profile
  • Qualified Actuary with experience in non-life reserving
  • Reinsurance experience or exposure to underwriting teams is an advantage
  • Strong Excel skills required (VBA knowledge a plus); experience with ResQ preferred
  • Familiarity with data systems and programming languages (e.g. R, Python) is beneficial
