- Assist the Leisure Centre Manager in the daily management and smooth operation of the leisure facilities.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service to hotel guests and members.
- Supervise and support leisure centre staff, including lifeguards, fitness instructors, and receptionists.
- Ensure that all health & safety, hygiene, and pool plant procedures are strictly adhered to in line with Irish legislation and hotel policies.
- Contribute to staff training, rotas, performance reviews, and development.
- Assist in managing memberships, including sales, renewals, and member engagement.
- Oversee cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation of the leisure centre, including the swimming pool, gym, and changing areas.
- Support the planning and promotion of fitness classes, wellness programmes, and special events.
- Monitor and report on facility usage, customer feedback, and operational performance.
- Act as the Duty Manager of the Leisure Centre in the absence of the Leisure Centre Manager.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a leisure, fitness, or hospitality environment.
- Pool Lifeguard qualification (e.g., RLSS or equivalent) – essential
- Pool Plant Operator Certificate – desirable
- First Aid and CPR certification – essential
- Strong knowledge of health & safety and swimming pool operations in line with Irish standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and leisure management systems
