Job Description:We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our IT support team and oversee the organization's desktop environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing desktop support operations, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues, optimizing desktop systems, and implementing best practices for desktop management.   • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the IT support team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure efficiency and security.
  • Coordinate IT support activities, including hardware and software deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to support staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Monitor team performance and support key metrics to measure service effectiveness and improvements.
  • Collaborate with other IT departments to ensure integrated support and seamless technology operations.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of desktop hardware and software, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential for improving desktop operations.
  • Provide training and support to team members on new technologies and processes.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a desktop support role with a management or supervisory background.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, Mac OS) and applications (Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure, remote support tools, and IT security best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • ITIL foundation certification or experience with IT service management frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified) are an advantage.
