The successful candidates will be mentored in, and assist with, the day-to-day operations of the production facility. The role includes hands-on practical work, supporting senior operatives, and participating in structured training to develop the technical skills necessary to progress within the company. This is a training and work experience opportunity, no prior experience in this role is necessary as all training will be provided in the following: • Support and assist disassembly and segregation of material on Rehab sites as and when required • Assist the supervisor and other members of the team to identify and implement work practices that will improve both the efficiency and quality of the work produced • Assist transport team with collections and or deliveries when required. • Adhere to safe working practices and contribute to the creation and maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment, ensuring PPE is worn in order to comply with the Health & Safety practices at the plant. • Participate in staff training and development activities to improve present and future performance. • Adhere to the Code of Good Employment Practice and the Rehab ethos • Workshop-based role, involving standing, lifting, and manual tasks. • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and must be worn as required.Role Description This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. Formal Training: • Manual Handling • Health and Safety regulations • WPEP QQI Work Experience Module Informal Training: • Work Ready Training (interview skills and techniques, interview preparation, CV building, Cover/Spec letter writing) • Communication Skills: Working with teammates & customer service. • Safe and efficient use of factory tools and materials • General disassembly and segregation of material processes and standards • Ongoing mentoring and support will be provided to encourage skills development and potential career progression within the company.
