Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a well-established Irish building contractor with a strong pipeline of work across Dublin City and the wider Leinster region.This opportunity offers the chance to join a respected contractor delivering a broad range of high-quality projects typically valued between €15M and €40M. Current and upcoming works span residential developments, public sector buildings, healthcare facilities, heritage projects, pharmaceutical environments, and sports or community infrastructure.The successful candidate will play an important role across key phases of project delivery, supporting site management teams with setting out, technical coordination, quality control, and day-to-day engineering oversight. This role would suit someone who enjoys being heavily involved on site, ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely, and in line with programme.Salary & Benefits

- Manage setting out and site control across project stages
- Support delivery teams with daily engineering coordination
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical submittals
- Ensure works are completed to required tolerances
- Liaise closely with subcontractors and site management teams
- Monitor quality standards and site compliance throughout
- Identify technical issues and raise them promptly
- Assist with sequencing of works and programme milestones
- Maintain accurate site records and engineering documentation
- Promote safe working practices across all site activities
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar engineering role
- Strong setting out experience on building projects
- Excellent technical knowledge and drawing interpretation skills
- Ability to work closely with site teams and subcontractors
- Strong communication and problem-solving ability
- Experience with Total Stations and GPS highly desirable
- Irish or UK construction experience is highly advantageous
