Sector: Public Sector | Education | Large-Scale BuildingsA respected Irish architectural consultancy is looking to appoint an Architectural Technologist to support the delivery of public sector and education projects, alongside a wider portfolio of complex developments.The practice operates across regulated Irish public projects and is known for its strong technical delivery, collaborative culture, and long-term investment in staff development. This role suits a technologist with strong Revit capability who wants to deepen their technical expertise and progress within a well-structured, professionally run environment.You'll work closely with senior architects and technologists, contributing to detailed design, coordination, and compliance across live projects.Role Responsibilities
- Produce and develop Revit-based drawings and models to support technical design delivery
- Assist with progressing projects from developed design through construction stages
- Support compliance with public sector standards, including Department of Education requirements and technical guidance documentation
- Coordinate architectural outputs with structural, building services, and specialist consultants
- Contribute to regulatory compliance including Building Regulations, BCAR, fire safety, access, and planning conditions
- Take part in internal design reviews, drawing checks, and issue management
- Assist with technical responses to RFIs, design clarifications, and site queries
- Develop technical problem-solving skills with increasing responsibility over time
- Support sustainability-driven design outcomes, including energy performance and low-carbon measures
- 3-5 years' experience working in an architectural or architectural technology practice
- Confident user of Revit in a live project environment
- Solid understanding of construction detailing and technical information production
- Working knowledge of Irish regulatory and compliance processes
- Strong team player with the ability to take ownership of defined work packages
- Clear communicator with good coordination skills
- Exposure to Irish public sector workstreams (education, OPW, local authority projects)
- Familiarity with BCAR systems and certification processes
- Interest in sustainable building design, NZEB, or decarbonisation strategies
- Experience contributing to refurbishment or retrofit schemes
- Qualification in Architectural Technology or a closely related discipline
- Commitment to continued learning and professional development
- Involvement in meaningful public sector and education-led projects
