
Engineering & Maintenance Manager- Utilities

- Ensure all plant equipment including steam boilers, chillers and air compressers and water treatment plants are maintained.
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed in compliance with GMP directives.
- Management of capex projects to completion, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Responsible for generating annual master plans for the area including costs and resource requirements and clearly defining on how success will be measured for the area responsible;
- Support the technical development of the team to enable them to plan the day to day priorities and site maintenance work
- Participate in definition and assure follow-up of key performance indicators (KPI) for utilities equipment performance, as well as, for outsourcing services.
- Assist in ensuring that current compliance issues and trends, both internal and site-wide, are critically evaluated and training is provided where appropriate.
- Participate, control and correct budget activities. Promote good maintenance practices in the area.
- Coordinate with other areas the fulfilment of maintenance plans
- Guarantee that cGMP rules and procedures are respected within the area, assure that outsource contractors acknowledge internal procedures.
- Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic or Instrumentation or related field.
- 6 years minimum experience in maintenance of an industry environment, preferably in the food, chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- 4 years minimum people management experience.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Skilled at managing processes and tools
- Fluency in English is a requirement
- Must have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set down.
