Data Analyst

- Retrieve and analyse data using excel, SQL and other data management systems
- Apply logical thinking to gathering and analysing the information
- Integrate data and design dashboards and reports that communicate insight derived from analysis to the business
- Gain a deep understanding of the processes that are underpinning the metrics and goals and perform deep dive analysis on the data to identify trends and provide analysis of user behaviour across a number of services and platforms
- Assist with the development and execution of data mining algorithms to support customer behaviour analysis
- Contribute to the definition of company-wide data definitions, terminology, data quality and business rules
- Create and assist the team with the preparation of business facing reports highlighting findings and recommending data driven solutions to address emerging trends
- Responsible along with the wider analytics team for the data integrity and assurance that the data is correct and current, especially if goals or focus change
- Collaborate with the Media Group to evaluate campaign performance, providing actionable insights through data-driven reporting on reach, engagement, and conversion metrics across digital and traditional media channels
- Conduct audience segmentation and behavioural analysis, leveraging internal and external data sources to identify key audience trends, preferences, and consumption patterns that inform content strategy and targeting efforts
- Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on data quality resolutions to ensure they are delivered
- Other duties may be allocated from time to time by your department manager
- Proven track record in data analysis, with the ability to interpret and present complex data to support informed decision-making
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, as well as strong SQL skills for querying and managing large datasets
- Minimum of two to three years of relevant work experience, with the ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the development and design of data warehousing solutions, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval
- Skilled in data visualisation using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar, to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders
- Holds a third-level qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent discipline
