
Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist

- Maintenance of up-to-date books and records, including maintaining precise records of client funds.
- Processing day to day transactions.
- Understanding and ensuring full compliance with Law Society Accounting Regulations.
- Dealing with all bank payments.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with invoicing.
- Managing creditors.
- Managing payroll.
- Revenue returns – managing VAT and PAYE/PRSI.
- Minimum of 5 years in a financial accounting role, preferably in a law firm environment.
- Experience in month end tasks, statutory financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial systems.
- A recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Desirable but not essential
- Strong knowledge of Irish accounting and tax regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills, e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, data analysis.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
