- Oversee all aspects of day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure, service delivery, and internal support.
- Lead the IT helpdesk function, ensuring high standards of responsiveness and internal user satisfaction.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, including contracts and performance tracking.
- Maintain oversight of cybersecurity processes, including patching, access management, antivirus, backups, and general cyber hygiene.
- Ensure the business continues to meet ISO27001 and internal audit standards for technology.
- Support system upgrades, cloud infrastructure management, and routine service maintenance.
- Act as escalation point for IT support issues and service incidents.
- Provide regular updates and reporting to the Head of IT.
- Collaborate with the Head of IT and wider leadership team to ensure technology foundations support wider business objectives.
- Solid experience in IT service delivery, infrastructure, or IT operations.
- A good working knowledge of cybersecurity practices and governance.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage IT support teams.
- A working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and governance.
- Experience managing internal support teams and third-party vendors.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- A dependable, practical approach to managing systems and service availability.
- An interest in technology improvement and the systems that power how we work.
- A degree in IT, computer science, or a related field (preferred).
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, or Cisco credentials would be advantageous.
- Experience in accountancy, professional services, or SME technology environments is a plus.
