Catering Assistant – Healthcare

• Meal Service: Assist in the preparation and serving of meals tailored to patient dietary requirements and restrictions.
• Food Preparation: Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as organising food preparation areas and setting up food counters.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and pantry areas, including day-to-day cleaning and setting up for the next day.

• Requirements:
• Garda Vetting: Mandatory for all candidates to ensure the safety and security of patients and staff.
• Manual Handling Certification: Required to safely perform physical tasks; training may be provided if necessary.
• HACCP Knowledge: Understanding of food safety standards; certification is essential but can be provided.
