- Own the regional operational planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organising and negotiating the allocation of resources.
- Benchmark, analyse, report on, and make recommendations for improving and growing the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- Contribute to the financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
- Contribute to developing and implementing all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
- Develop requests for proposals.
- Contribute to negotiating and administering vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals, while working with the Central Infrastructure Team and other regional IT leads.
- Collaborate with the Global 24x7 IT Services Desk to provide end-user services.
- Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
- Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts.
- Keep current with the latest technologies.
- Approve and oversee projects and project portfolios relevant to the UK Business.
- Ensure 95%+ Regional asset management compliance for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
- Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the UK SLT, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience in a similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of networks, Servers, PC and MAC operating systems, including scripting on Macs.
- Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards and exposure to AI and information security.
- Extensive application support experience with managing our supporting 24x7 service desk in an outsourcing arrangement.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
- Excellent understanding of the organisation's goals and objectives and contributing to IT Strategy.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- 2-3 days a week in the office and support follow-the-sun service delivery approach
- Travel to EMEA locations in support of client site deployments.
- Lifting and transporting moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals, in support of setting up, upgrading, and decommissioning sites.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and power tools and handle other computer components.
