Hours: 39 hrs/w The Dental Practice Manager will oversee all administrative, operational, and quality aspects the clinics. The role requires strong leadership, compliance oversight, and strategic planning, supported by extensive clinical knowledge in orthodontics, implantology, and aesthetic dentistry to guide treatment protocols, ensure best practice, and mentor clinical staff. Key Responsibilities • Plan, organise, and coordinate daily operations across orthodontics, implantology, and aesthetic services to ensure efficiency and high-quality patient care. • Develop and implement policies and protocols informed by clinical best practice to improve service standards and outcomes. • Review treatment protocols to ensure compliance with current clinical standards and regulatory requirements. • Support complex treatment planning by providing technical guidance to clinical teams based on extensive experience in orthodontics, implant surgery, and prosthetic rehabilitation. • Mentor clinical staff in specialist techniques, including Damon Orthodontic Systems, Invisalign, and implant placement protocols, to maintain clinical excellence across the practice. • Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise dental and administrative staff. • Deliver in-house training sessions on patient care, infection control, radiology protocols, and clinical safety procedures. • Ensure full compliance with Irish dental regulations, health and safety laws, GDPR, and radiation safety. • Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, audits, and quality accreditation schemes. • Manage budgets, control expenditure, and oversee procurement of dental materials, surgical instruments, and equipment. • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to ensure continuity of supply and value for money. • Oversee appointment scheduling, reception operations, patient records, and billing systems. • Monitor patient satisfaction and lead initiatives to improve patient communication and service delivery. • Represent the clinic in dealings with the Irish Dental Council, HSE, insurers, laboratories, and suppliers. • Maintain professional relationships with dental and healthcare networks to support recruitment, training, and service development. Required Qualifications and Experience • Experience in managing dental practices, with strong operational, compliance, and leadership skills. • Extensive clinical knowledge and hands-on experience in orthodontics, implant surgery, and prosthetic rehabilitation to guide protocols and mentor staff. • Familiarity with Damon Orthodontic Systems, Invisalign, and advanced implant techniques. • Strong knowledge of dental regulations and operational best practices in Ireland. • Proficiency in dental management software and Microsoft Office tools. • Degree in dentistry.
