To provide person-centred care and support that enables individuals to remain living independently and safely in their own homes, while promoting dignity, choice, and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Assist service users with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming). Support with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration. Provide mobility support, including safe transfers and use of equipment. Carry out light household duties to maintain a safe, clean environment. Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation. Prompt or assist with medication under direction (if required). Monitor and report changes in health, behaviour, or wellbeing to the coordinator/nurse. Adhere to infection prevention and control practices. Respect confidentiality, dignity, and individual rights at all times. Key Requirements QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (or equivalent qualification) - mandatory in Ireland. Previous experience in a healthcare or caring environment desirable. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well within a team under supervision of registered nurses. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to person-centred care. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
