“M S CATERS LIMITED trading as “ZAIQA Restaurant Ballinasloe” is hiring for a full-time Chef de Partie with a minimum of 2 years of experience to prepare mainly Indian/Pakistani Curry dishes for their restaurant. An interview is a must. The interview can be organised in person or on Zoom. Any formal cooking-related qualification will be a plus point for the candidate. A full reference is required from the last employer. Roles and Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook high-quality curry dishes. • Follow authentic recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and the food preparation checklist. • Portion, chop, and store ingredients for cooking. • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. • Test foods to ensure they are cooked properly. • Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and cooking equipment. • Monitor and maintain the correct temperatures for both appliances and food. • Assist Head Chef by following the instructions. • Adhere to all company policies, including Health & Safety protocols. • Comply with all HACCP legislation and maintain accurate documentation. • Execute set-up and close-down procedures efficiently. • Control costs by minimising waste. • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager. • Complete safety training and certifications as provided and required by the company and applicable laws. Key skills required: 1. Capable of working flexibly under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. 2. Personable with excellent interpersonal skills. 3. Possesses a high level of initiative. 4. Skilled at multitasking. 5. Aspires to progress to the role of Head Chef. 6. Holds 2 years of experience in preparing curry dishes. Education: Leaving Certificate (preferred but not necessary). Experience: Chef: 2 years required. HACCP: Not necessary as all training and certification will be offered on commencement of the job. Language: English (preferred), Urdu/Punjabi will be an advantage. Work authorisation: Must be eligible or hold valid permission to work in Ireland.
