- Lead the development of communication strategies to enhance the organisation’s public profile within the legislative framework.
- Establish and foster robust connections with internal and external stakeholders, government bodies, industry representatives, and media. Shape communication and events to boost visibility.
- Act as a credible public representative, passionately championing the communication agenda and seizing opportunities to raise awareness.
- Inspire and influence the organisation’s direction, ensuring clarity and consistency in line with core values. Collaborate with the Executive Team to align messaging and objectives.
- Ensure adherence to relevant legislation and regulations. Uphold standards of excellence in communication strategies.
- Promote internal alignment through effective and targeted internal communications and events. Collaborate with the HR team to define and communicate the Employee Value Proposition.
- Play a role in the Executive management team, influencing policies and directions and its subsidiaries.
- Manage the communications team efficiently, promoting Values and ensuring the right people are in the right roles. Drive recruitment, performance management, and talent and succession planning.
- 5+ years of senior communications experience in the Public or Private Sector, ideally within multi-faceted businesses.
- Strong political acumen and understanding of regulatory, reputational, and policy issues.
- Proven PR and event management experience with strong relationships in National and International Media.
- Experience launching Corporate Communications plans targeting diverse customer and demographic profiles.
- Resilient collaborator with a track record of influencing change and building trust.
- Previous experience in team management and motivation.
