
Plumbing Inspector - Residential Energy Schemes

- Perform quality assurance inspections on energy retrofit works in line with SEAI standards and codes of practice.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of inspection documentation via digital tools or paper.
- Offer advice to homeowners, contractors, and internal teams regarding energy upgrades and scheme compliance.
- Manage appointments with homeowners - visits take place Monday to Friday, typically between 9am-5pm, with timing arranged the evening before.
- Complete 5-6 inspections per day, depending on homeowner availability and geographic factors.
- Collaborate with the scheduling team, with full administrative support.
- Attend regular training and contribute to continuous improvement in quality delivery.
- Inspectors work within their local region (within 2 hours' drive from their home base).
- Occasional travel outside the region may be required, with overnight hotel stays arranged and covered, including a food allowance.
- Expect to be away from home on average one day per week.
- All tools, safety gear, IT equipment, and uniform are provided.
- FETAC Level 6 qualification in Plumbing (mandatory)
- Solid knowledge of domestic construction and heating systems
- Comfortable working in a field-based, autonomous role
- Clear communication skills, especially with homeowners and contractors
- Proficient with mobile devices and digital reporting tools
- Full driving licence
- RGII registration
- Heat Pump Installation training
- Knowledge of insulation types and techniques
- Starting salary of €60,000+ (negotiable)
