The Finance department based in the Cork Campus supports all functions of Apple EMEIA, as well as being the Shared Services Centre for the region. Our Engineering & Ops Finance team partners with the Engineering, Operations, and AppleCare teams to optimize the worldʼs most innovative supply chain, providing world class analyses for insightful decision making. This exciting role sits within the EMEIA Engineering & Operations Finance team. The team is primarily responsible for the management of costs and controls within specified business areas, as well as driving strategic decision-making through financial insights. We engage directly with key customers, including Operations functions (Logistics, Supply Demand Planning, Reseller Operations, Retail Fulfilment Operations, BPR), Product Operations, AppleCare, Corporate Procurement, GBS, Technical Accounting, Corporate Tax and Trade Compliance. In this role, you'll get to design and build data & automation solutions for our team. You'll have significant exposure within the team, and also to the wider Apple organisation. If you are analytical and skilled at building phenomenal working relationships, then this position is an exciting opportunity for you!DescriptionThis role will support data & developing automation solutions for the team. Key responsibilities include: Design, build and maintain reports, dashboards and automation solutions to provide clear insights on key cost drivers and support business decisions. Management of key reference data for the team. This will involve identifying the data needs to the team, as well as resolving any gaps. Management of the end-to-end solution delivery, including: gathering business requirements, crafting & building solutions, and managing testing, training, and rollout. Partner with IS&T and Business Process Reengineering teams on delivery of complex projects. Respond to ad-hoc requests for help, such as approving and provisioning access to reporting solutions, investigating data discrepancies, recommending appropriate tools for a given data need, etc. Partner locally with other members of the EMEIA Operations Finance teams to develop reporting solutions for the team, as well as providing training in their use. Partner cross-regionally with peers and seniors finance managers in AMR/APAC regions to develop and implement WW initiativesMinimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Tableau development experience.
  • 3+ years of SQL experience.
  • 3+ years of using Python (or other scripting languages) for automation & data transformation.
  • Experience managing data pipelines (e.g. extract-transform-load processes).
  • Experience with reference data maintenance, e.g. hierarchy or mapping updates.
  • Experience in data and statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Experience working with analytics and BI platforms (e.g. Tableau, GBI), and data science platforms (e.g. Dataiku).
  • Excellent planning and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and outstanding business judgement to respond swiftly to changing business needs
