- Automation Technical Consultancy Responsibilities:
- Contribute from a technical perspective to projects across a wide range of platforms and technologies.
- Advocate for new technologies and innovative solutions to meet business needs.
- Front-End Engineering project Responsibilities:
- Front End Studies and Basis-of-Design documentation.
- Scope of Work, User Requirements Spec, System Architectures, Functional Specs.
- Reviews of Vendor Proposals and participate in Technical Bid Analysis.
- Technical Consultancy project Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automation strategies.
- Create guidelines & templates for obsolescence reports and lifecycle plans.
- Develop guidelines & templates for data security & data integrity assessments.
- Design and optimize system architectures for various automation platforms.
- System Integration Responsibilities:
- Lead the design & configuration of Process Control Systems.
- Provide technical guidance, conduct investigations and resolve technical issues.
- Project Managers Support responsibilities:
- Assist project managers with the development of budgets, scope, schedule & quality.
- Customer relationship management.
- Mentorship Responsibilities:
- Provide support to automation engineers and project engineers.
- Offer expertise and advice in your field of technical expertise.
- Occasional travel to client sites for project scoping, implementation & governance meetings.
- At least 8 years' experience implementing and supporting automation systems within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or life sciences industries.
- A minimum of 2 years in a senior role with responsibility for the technical aspects of automation project delivery.
- A technical qualification at third level (or equivalent) in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Strong project management, technical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision on a variety of technologies and project lifecycles.
- Significant experience in one or more of the following platforms: Rockwell, Siemens S7 and/or Emerson DeltaV platforms.
- Proficient in solution definition and proactive in resolving technical issues.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GAMP, Safety and Environmental Regulatory requirements.
- Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills.
