Location: KildareWe are seeking a Senior Logistics Co-Ordinator within the FMCG industry for our well established client. This role will meet and supply logistics demands, support the Logistics Manager, and develop/manage team members. The position requires strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills to ensure smooth supply chain operations and team development.DutiesAnalyse forecast and liaise with sales and operations teams on supply/demand issuesManage sales contracts – timing/coordinating product, credit limits, and logisticsDevelop demand plans, interface on supply issuesMaintain high control of inventory to ensure efficienciesReact to market demand to ensure supply from tradersParticipate and lead logistics-related projectsSupport and liaise with sales and operations teams on order and supply managementPropose and investigate cost-saving initiativesProvide regular status/communication reports to customers/tradersEnsure that all logistics paperwork is accurate and produced in a timely mannerLiaise with suppliers to ensure timely supply of productLiaise with carriers to ensure there are sufficient trailers for loading on time every timeEnsure key business partners are updated daily on any supply issues that may ariseLiaise with Department of Agriculture to ensure veterinary procedures are upheldInvestigate new market opportunities, assuring approval and lifting barriers to trade in new countriesSupport the Technical Manager in maintaining the Quality Management SystemOversee stock control and rotationHandle credit controlAct as the link between logistics co-ordinators and the Logistics ManagerTrain, develop, and manage members of the logistics teamProvide any other support as per business demandsRequirementsExperience in the FMCG industry and logistics is essentialProven people management skillsExcellent data entry, Excel, and Outlook skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsFlexibility and ability to manage changeSome travel will be requiredEligibility to work in Ireland is requiredFor additional information and a confidential discussion on this Senior Logistics Coordinator position and similar opportunities contact: Sarah 056-7786631 / 086 0444833 or Sarah@optimizerecruitment.ieSarah is available for a call between 9am and 5.30pm daily (outside of work hours calls / meetings can be arranged upon request).Please submit your CV via the link provided, in confidence.All applications will be dealt with in the strictest confidence and your CV will never be released without your prior approval.Job Ref Number: OR-www.optimizerecruitment.ie#ORjobs
