With a strong focus on supporting growth and offering a comprehensive range of finance, leasing, and related services, they have built a reputation for excellence and a customer-first approach.Who Should Apply?This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a well-established finance team. You will take ownership of statutory reporting and taxation activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS standards and local regulations. This role offers the chance to work in a supportive, dynamic environment where your expertise will make a real impact.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead statutory reporting processes, including year-end closing and preparation of local and consolidated financial statements.
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring an efficient and smooth audit process.
  • Evaluate internal controls and recommend enhancements to strengthen financial governance.
  • Prepare and present financial and audit reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Manage tax compliance, including VAT, Corporation Tax, Transfer Pricing, and other statutory returns.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise financial performance and manage risk.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits, payroll, and tax, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Professional ACCA/ACA qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within financial services, a large corporation, or a Big 4 environment.
  • Strong experience in preparing statutory financial statements and consolidated accounts, including supporting notes.
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS standards.
  • Proven experience managing payroll processes.
  • Experience preparing tax returns, including VAT and Corporation Tax.
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills for senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of complex financial products and their accounting impact.
