
Senior Financial Accountant - Motor Industry

- Lead statutory reporting processes, including year-end closing and preparation of local and consolidated financial statements.
- Act as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring an efficient and smooth audit process.
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend enhancements to strengthen financial governance.
- Prepare and present financial and audit reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Manage tax compliance, including VAT, Corporation Tax, Transfer Pricing, and other statutory returns.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise financial performance and manage risk.
- Maintain accurate records for audits, payroll, and tax, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and regulations.
- Professional ACCA/ACA qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within financial services, a large corporation, or a Big 4 environment.
- Strong experience in preparing statutory financial statements and consolidated accounts, including supporting notes.
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS standards.
- Proven experience managing payroll processes.
- Experience preparing tax returns, including VAT and Corporation Tax.
- Strong presentation and reporting skills for senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of complex financial products and their accounting impact.
