
Shift Technician

- Support the Shift Production Supervisor to keep production running smoothly during the shift
- Gain hands-on experience in injection moulding, silicone moulding, and automated assembly.
- Troubleshoot, fine-tune processes, and respond to machine breakdowns promptly.
- Assist with mould changeovers, routine maintenance, and process optimisation to reduce downtime.
- Ensure product quality meets documented specifications and production targets are achieved.
- Monitor machine performance, reject levels, and material usage to maintain efficiency.
- Communicate shift objectives clearly to team members and help organise workflow.
- Step in to supervise and manage operatives when the supervisor is unavailable.
- Ensure raw materials and components are available for continuous production.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment, following cleanroom and hygiene regulations.
- Support employee training and keep training records up to date.
- Report issues or concerns to management in a timely and constructive manner.
- 1+ years' experience in a similar position
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g. QQI Level 6, Diploma, or equivalent in engineering, electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing disciplines) is highly desirable but not essential
- Basic understanding of injection moulding, silicone moulding, or automated assembly processes (desirable)
