Main activities:
Communication / NetworkBefore the test, prepare the test environment in preparation for the validation/test engineer to evaluate before test startCheck parts are available, identified and at the right level of representativeness regarding the test required, populate relevant logistics trackers and lab bar-coding systemCheck with the val engineer that the tools are capable for measurement requiredBudget;Propose and follow the budget for each financial yearProcess, Methodology, Tools, EquipmentDeploy the Engineering process, methodology and tools defined by / together with the Métier Mngr / DirParticipate to the definition of processes, methods and the tools necessary to properly handle projectsEnsure the full deployment of 5 axes methodologyParticipate to the improvement of the standards, methods & tools of his métierStandardization & Robust DesignSupport department standardisation committee by ensuring knowledge, training and implementation of the standardsReview and challenge Destandardization requests before releaseManage & Maintenance;Manage the planning inside the laboratory and allocated resources (Test Chambers, tools, benches,…) with lab manager.Responsible to obtain the specific tools needed for the Equipments (need specification and follow-up) whenever they are done inside Valeo or external to Valeo.Lead & manage maintenance & repairs of Chambers in DV Env Lab.Lead & manage repairs related to leaks in chambers and carry out works related to system gas leaks which are needed for chambers in DV lab.Support Env lab during Annual calibration & maintenance weeks & Christmas period cover..Lead Electrical installations including sockets and lights, fault finding & testing on chambersLead Refrigeration, leak, pressure test, repairs and charging of systemsLead & manage planned preventative maintenance on chambers including water systems.Responsible for operation of all chambers and vibration tables.Refrigeration installations;Design and manufacturing of new environmental chambers with Supplier.Installation of Chambers in the Lab;Lead PDCA’s & fault finding with machinesEncourage a Safety focus dedicated to maintaining high quality standards.Manage & support documenting & tracking of all chambers, equipment's in master equipment inventory sheet.Carry out all work to comply with Quality Management System and Validation Engineering Processes e.g. ASPICE, ISOTS16949Maintenance / Equipment Engineering;Day-to-day activities and responsibilities may differ, core activities will include:Governance over periodic maintenance checksGovernance over planning equipment upgrades and machinery modificationsGovernance over identifying faults, investigating equipment breakdowns and monitoring the performance of equipment after repairs have been carried out.Coordinating external suppliers activities;Coordinating with plant support functions i.e. facilities, H&S etc..etcCarrying out process improvements planning VIPs (value improvements project) in to the futureCoordinating tracking uptime and downtime and reporting out using KPIs monthly (TRS + QRAP) history log included.Governance over procurement of new components for existing equipment, or replacing the entire set of machines after a prescribed period of usage is complete.Support monthly matrix's and report out to mgrCoordinating equipment automation improvements and interphase to test racksCoordinating teams to come up with innovative automation designs and solutionsCoordinating with contract expertise, tailor good working relationship to keep morale and professionalism good reportingReporting;Report chamber repair, maintenance status to the Laboratory manager on a regular basis (QRQC, 5mm…)Contribute to chamber reports, peer-reviews of data and follow up.Participate in lessons learned across the various projectsCreate daily and weekly activity report on project and non project related activities to the manager.Efficiency;Follow-up of hard savings by lab from its own team member and contribute to department efficiency sheetSupport lab manager in TRS follow-up (ENV Testing Chambers - 85%)Support MUDAS hunting in all the chamber maintenance, repair, reusability processes.Limit external spending (monitor external costs of services which could be done in Valeo and use the Valeo network)3D printing savings due to actively usage of Valeo network and capacity.Education/Training
Requirements:A relevant Technical Engineering Degree e.g. Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Physics & Instrumentation, MechatronicsProfessional Experience;Min 10 years engineering experience in chamber maintenance & repairComputer literate in MS Office suite (ECDL)Knowledge of automotive electronics systemsTest experience with knowledge of test & validation methods in the automotive industryMin 5 years test lab experience and Thermal & vibration equipmentsWorking experience on preventive maintenance tools – SAP, Megamation.Ability to read, analyse and interpret complex documents /schematics.Assemble, install, commission, maintain and repair heating, cooling and refrigeration systems and equipment across the site.Desirable:F-Gas CertificationBasic knowledge instrumentation interfacing over PXI, PCI, USB, RS232 & GPIBBasic knowledge in hardware and peripheralsBasic knowledge of automotive electronics systemsValidation experience with knowledge of test & validation methodsBasic knowledge of accelerated life testing.Job: Product Technical LeaderOrganization: Test & ValidationSchedule: Full timeEmployee Status: RegularJob Type: Permanent contractJob Posting Date: 2023-11-09Join Us !
