Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) has a vacancy for a Project Support Officer (0.5 time - 2.5 days/week) to join the PeacePlus FLOW project team in the Research and Development (R&D) division. The FLOW is a project supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing projects. They will be highly organised and capable of supporting all aspects of project delivery, including financial reporting, procurement, compliance, and documentation across both ROI and NI. They will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in maintaining audit-ready records and liaising with partners and control bodies. The appointee will have responsibility for collation of all documentation necessary for quarterly financial reporting to the Lead Partner and to the SEUPB, the EU controlling body for cross-border projects. The appointee will provide comprehensive administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, managing documentation, and maintaining project records. The appointee will work closely with the Lead Partner to ensure reporting compliance and will also network with other partners in regard to tasks arising e.g. information dissemination - social media updating on project activities etc.The main responsibilities will include:Provide support to project staff in managing PEACE PLUS/SEUPB funded research projects and programmes.Ensure SEUPB funded project management complies with all administrative and financial reporting requirements through full project lifecycle.Support procurement of, including necessary capital equipment, and works and services to meet project deliverables.Preparation and collation of all documentation for quarterly financial reporting to Lead Partner and to SEUPB.Prepare and collate monthly and any other required reports for Lead Partner and for submission to EU.Collate and process claims for the FLOW project via the JEMS online portal.Liaise with First Level Control verification bodies as requiredPreparation of tenders, evaluation of tender bids, follow up contracting and purchase system process, including from tender to PO to final payment. Retaining detailed paper and digital trail regarding all stages of the purchasing process in respect of approved instream and riparian actions.Maintaining records of permission and of applications for access to lands etc. for project works (RoI and NI)Maintaining records of necessary documentation and authorisations from public authorities to undertake specific actions (in NI and RoI)Support with any other aspects of project management, including tracking of progress of project activities against goals and deliverablesKEY EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate will have the following:EssentialA relevant Diploma or Degree or equivalent ( NFQ Level 7 )Full driving licence valid in the stateStrong administrative and organisational skills are essential.Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.Self-directed and able to work independently.Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and question information received.A strong expertise in IT skills (MS Suite) and record keeping is required.DesirableExperience in administration of European Union funded project(s)Familiarity with eTenders and/or eTendersNI Tendering Websites, EMS /JEMS project portal.Experience working with Integra or other Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) systems.LOCATIONThe role will be based at IFI HQ at Citywest, Dublin.
