A large, well-invested food manufacturer in the Midlands is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to lead and elevate the technical and quality agenda across the site.This is a key leadership appointment. You will sit on the senior management team and play a central role in shaping standards, culture and customer confidence at plant level.The RoleThis position is about more than compliance. My client needs someone who:

Drives a strong, visible quality-first culture across the entire site
Leads both Technical and NPD functions
Acts as the senior point of contact for customers
Represents the business at customer audits, forums and key events
Ensures the customer agenda is clearly understood — from the factory floor right through to site leadership and owners
Translates technical excellence into commercial credibility

The current Technical Manager will remain on in a consultancy capacity to support a smooth transition, providing strong continuity and handover support.The PersonYou will be a confident senior technical leader who:

Has significant experience in food manufacturing (ideally food to go / high care)
Is comfortable engaging directly with major retail customers
Understands how to embed and sustain a quality-driven culture
Can influence at all levels — from operators to senior stakeholders
Brings a balanced approach across compliance, standards, and innovation
