Location: CorkContract Type: 12-Month Temporary ContractWe are delighted to represent our client, a globally recognised company as they seek a forward-thinking RTR Accountant to join their team. This is a unique 12-month opportunity for an accounting professional who doesn't just "do" the numbers but seeks to revolutionise how they are processed.Our client's R2R function is a powerhouse of financial activity, covering Treasury, Intercompany, Inventory, and Revenue Accounting, alongside a dedicated team of regional leads focused on statutory and tax compliance. This role is designed for a "systems thinker"-someone who combines a robust accounting foundation with a passion for automation, AI, and process optimisation.ResponsibilitiesManage and support core accounting processes, including professional fee reporting and budgeting.Deeply analyse financial data structures to ensure accounting integrity and efficiency.Design and implement automation solutions specifically for local statutory and tax processes.Integrate AI tools and AI agents to streamline repetitive finance tasks.Develop AI-assisted workflows to enhance the quality and speed of reporting and documentation.Collaborate on the development of internal tools, dashboards, and lightweight applications to support the wider finance function.Act as a bridge between Finance and Technology teams, fostering strong global working relationships.RequirementsA degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)Proven experience in preparing or managing statutory financial statements.Practical experience with SAP and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.Exposure to data platforms (e.g., Dataiku) and a keen interest in leveraging AI tools for analysis and documentation.Familiarity with building dashboards (Streamlit, Tableau, etc.); proficiency in SQL or Python is a distinct advantage.Excellent leadership, negotiation, and project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.A self-starter mindset with a curious, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
