
Technical Service Manager

- Manage a team of engineers as well as a service coordinator and an equipment coordinator.- Maintain a high level of support to customers including repair turnaround time, breakdown response time and on time routine servicing.- Advise and ensure all staff are up to date with technical training, best practices and monitor same by site visit and service/repair test result audits.- Coordinate test equipment calibration and keep files up to date in accordance with the ISO and manufacturers policy.- Work closely with suppliers regarding new testing methods, updates and advice.- Support the sales team with technical assistance and product promotion when required.- Liaise with customers regarding service contracts, quotations for repairs etc. It is also imperative to meet and build relationships with key hospital personnel.- Work closely with the sales and admin team on specific tender documentations and service pricing.- Source and interview potential new engineers/service administration candidates when required.- Ensure good customer relations are maintained with both Bio-Medical/Clinical Engineering and on the ground front line medical staff.- Plan and carry out new equipment installations.Qualification & Skills
- Qualification in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.- 5+ years' experience in the Medical Device industry.- Strong understanding of regulatory requirement and managements systems.- Customer focused, well organized, and ability to manage and expand the technical service department.Experience need in:
- Managing projects with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to influence and lead change across all levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills, organisational and planning skills.
- Experience in the application of knowledge on standardisation to practice / process.
