Stewart Construction, one of Ireland’s leading main contractors with over 120 years of experience, is currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our growing team in Galway.We deliver high-quality commercial, industrial, educational and healthcare projects across Ireland and pride ourselves on our collaborative culture and commitment to excellence.This role offers the opportunity to work within an established site team on large-scale construction projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating site operations and ensuring projects are completed in line with programme, quality and safety requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule and to specificationCoordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades and direct labour on siteMonitor project progress and ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirementsEnsure health & safety standards are maintained in line with company policies and statutory regulationsMaintain high quality control standards through regular site inspectionsLiaise with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Engineers and design team to coordinate works and resolve issuesManage site logistics, materials and plant requirements, ensuring timely procurement and efficient use of resourcesMaintain daily site records and progress reports, ensuring key information is communicated to managementAssist in identifying, managing and reporting variations and changes in conjunction with the commercial teamLead site meetings, daily briefings and toolbox talks where requiredRequirements5+ years’ experience in a Site Manager role with a Main ContractorExperience delivering medium to large-scale commercial or industrial projectsThird level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline, or a trade background with relevant experienceStrong knowledge of construction methods, building regulations and health & safety legislationExcellent organisation, leadership and communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme deliveryValid Safe Pass and Manual Handling
