The VacancyRSK Ireland part of the RSK Group is now hiring for an experienced Financial Accountant to join the finance team.This role will be based at our RSK Ireland Cork office, and offers hybrid working arrangements.The successful candidate will play a key role within our team, collaborating closely with RSK companies and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality work and adherence to RSK Group standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet for a number of Group Companies.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support month-end close processes in line with group reporting deadlines.
  • Ownership of cashflow forecasting, monitoring and reporting
  • Assist with the annual budget preparation process in collaboration the Head of Finance
  • Prepare annual audit files and Liaise with external Auditors and Tax Advisors
  • Prepare statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, RCT, employee expenses, CSO surveys)
  • Support cost accounting and inventory accounting activities (where applicable)
  • Work closely with Project Managers to support in Project performance and cost control, fee recovery and Margin Analysis
  • Oversight of credit control activities to ensure timely collection of income and minimise aged debt.
  • Oversee end to end payroll operations ensuring timely submissions.
  • Some travel may be required from time to time, depending on business needs.
  • Additional duties may be required beyond those listed above.
Person Specification:
  • Professionally qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
  • A minimum 5+ years' experience in a comparable role is required
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modelling, data analysis).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Proven experience with month-end processes and production of management accounts
