Site Lead - Data Centre (Contract)This role will support the installation of reciprocating gas engines serving a major data centre project in West Dublin. The project is already in progress, with completion scheduled for March 2026. A locally based candidate is preferred.

The Site Lead will act as the key representative on-site, working alongside one other colleague and supported by weekly visits from the Project Manager and discipline engineers (Electrical, C&I). The role requires strong technical oversight, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to ensure safety, quality, and programme adherence.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily site supervision and coordination of contractor activities.
  • Provide independent technical oversight of works, engaging positively with contractors in a collaborative manner.
  • Review and provide feedback on technical procedures, RAMS, and contractor documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory safety and environmental standards, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Identify, highlight, and document any shortfalls in works against requirements and support recovery planning.
  • Maintain accurate daily site records, including activities, progress, issues, and conditions.
  • Initiate and lead site meetings/inspections with contractors and clients, compiling accurate minutes and records.
  • Support timely responses to technical queries in collaboration with off-site engineering teams.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a Site Lead / Site Manager role within a regulated industry (data centres, energy, utilities, or industrial projects preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory safety and environmental requirements with appropriate qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, or recognised Irish equivalent).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while engaging effectively with both on-site and off-site project teams.
