About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the Tate team as a Purchasing Team Lead. This role is a combination of supply chain management, operational planning and stakeholder management. This pivotal role blends supply chain management, team leadership, operational planning, and stakeholder engagement. You will lead and mentor a team of 3 purchasing professionals, ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services across the organisation. As Tate continues to grow exponentially, this position requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and who can lead with agility and clarity. You'll be a critical link between our internal teams, suppliers, and customers, maintaining supply chain integrity and driving excellence across the purchasing function. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Strategy • Lead, motivate and develop the purchasing team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement. • Prioritise workloads, monitor team KPIs, and conduct regular reviews to ensure targets are met. • Act as the main escalation point for purchasing issues and provide solutions or guidance to the team. • Contribute to strategic procurement planning and process improvements to support business growth. Operational Procurement • Assess manufacturing demand and oversee the placement of purchase orders to maintain stock levels and support manufacturing operations. • Liaise with departments across the business to place overhead and project-based orders. • Run MRP (Materials Resource Planning) in SAP to ensure timely and accurate ordering in line with production forecasts. • Ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment by tracking order progress and supplier delivery timelines. • Monitor supplier performance and quality, handling complaints and implementing corrective actions as required. Data & Compliance • Ensure SAP data accuracy to support reliable forecasting and reporting. • Work with the finance team to ensure purchasing activities are compliant with internal controls and budgetary guidelines. • Identify risks within the supply chain and implement preventive or corrective measures to mitigate impact. Hours of Work: 39 hours per week Remuneration: The salary for this role is €48,000 Qualifications, Experience & Skills Education: A Master's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
