Job Description:Dromoland Castle is currently recruiting for a Full Time Demi Chef de Partie to join our award - winning culinary team at one of Ireland's prestigious destinations.Overview of the Role:
  • Be knowledgeable of the day’s business
  • Be familiar with the menu
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion while ensuring dishes leaving the kitchen are prepared to the approved standard for presentation
  • Avoid unnecessary wastage, observe proper portion planning and control and to act in a cost effective, responsible manner
  • Ensure excellent food hygiene practice is observed in the entire food chain from storage through to preparation and service
  • Ensure HACCP compliance within the kitchen
The Ideal Candidate:
  • 3rd level qualification in Culinary Arts or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role and in hotel/ fine dining kitchen preferred
  • Be talented, creative and have a genuine passion for food
  • Friendly, dedicated individual, with attention to detail
  • Team player who works and communicates well with others
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills as well as ability to work well under pressure
  • High level of speaking and understanding English language
