Quinn Downes Installation (QDI) are a leading National provider of Mechanical Service Installations to high-profile clients across Ireland. QDI are recruiting for First Year Pipefitting Apprentices. Throughout the apprenticeship the successful candidates will learn all aspects in the trade of Pipefitting through on the job training with QDI and off the job training in college with Solas. Reporting to the Operations Director this is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person who has an interest in the trade and is willing to learn.Below is an outline of the main elements of the role.Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist and follow instruction from senior tradespeople
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines
  • Handling tools
  • Maintain and clean workspaces
  • Learning all aspects of the trade of Pipefitting
Required Criteria
  • Safe Pass
  • Manual Handling
  • Keen interest and ability to learn on the job
  • Excellent time and attendance
Desired Criteria
  • Driving License
  • Previous experience on construction sites
