- Financial Reporting: Supporting the preparation of quarterly group accounts, including variance analysis and detailed reconciliations.
- Budgeting & Strategy: Assisting in the creation of robust budgets and rolling forecasts for the distribution business units.
- Cost Management: Monitoring depot-level expenses, reviewing purchase orders, and identifying opportunities to enhance profitability through supplier management.
- Operational Liaison: Acting as a bridge between the finance department and regional depot teams to streamline reporting and cost control processes.
- Transactional Oversight: Working with the wider team to ensure accuracy in sales invoicing and creditor management.
- Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with 1+ years' PQE.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and a high level of analytical detail.
- Soft Skills: A self-starter with the integrity and adaptability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Communication: Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
