We have the most advanced diagnostic imaging equipment available today, full Cardiological facilities including a Cardiac Catheterisation Suite and Clinical Laboratory servicesThe RoleWe are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join the Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing the financial information necessary for the planning and financial protection of the hospital. You will improve the Monthly Management Accounting process, develop the analysis of the Monthly Management Accounts and provide additional resources to the Finance function to facilitate improvements in monthly reporting.The position requires a strategic approach to the development of services and structures, embracing continuous quality improvement and the management of changes necessary to achieve organisational objectives.Key Duties for this role will include
  • To prepare monthly management accounts for review by senior management
  • To analyse variances between actual and budgeted financial accounts
  • To provide management with the financial information necessary to make strategic and operational business decisions
  • To analyse the performance of the business and advise on how it can improve its value
  • To analyse costs and profitability associated to the provision of specific procedures and services
  • Business partner to senior management, becoming a key point of contact for the business
  • Provide bespoke management information to enhance the commercial decision making process
  • Preparation and distribution of monthly departmental performance reports
  • Partner with business unit leaders in the development of the annual budget
  • Assist in the annual audit with the external auditors
  • Assist in system upgrade project
  • Other duties appropriate to the post as assigned from time to time by the Financial Controller

  • Fully qualified accountant with relevant accountancy qualification
  • 3+ years post qualification experience in the preparation of management accounts
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Effective problem solving ability
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Previous experience of accounting information systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
