This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in the management and delivery of complex works across multiple sites.About the Role:
The successful candidate will be part of a highly experienced project delivery team, managing large-scale substation and ESB Framework projects. The role includes responsibility for assigning work on ESBN systems and ensuring all works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards.Key Responsibilities:Act as PIW (Person in Charge of Work) – training provided if not already certifiedPrepare and issue work packs; oversee pre-mobilisation activitiesPlan works including sequencing, outage coordination, and schedulingLiaise with site supervisors to ensure efficient and accurate tele messingEnforce SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) complianceMaintain accurate site records and documentationManage fault-related or additional works arising during the projectOversee quality and environmental management on siteSupervise multiple crews across electrical and civil disciplinesEnsure timely, cost-effective project deliveryMonitor resource allocation (labour, materials, equipment)Maintain all site safety files and documentationRecord all variations (CVI’s) during worksConduct regular quality and Health & Safety auditsCandidate Profile:Fully qualified electricianSupervisory experience in live substations (33kV or higher) is essentialExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organisational abilityFluent English (spoken and written) – certification may be required (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.For additional information and a confidential discussion on this Site Manager – Substations position and similar opportunities contact: Alan 056-7786631 / 0858072559 or Alan@optimizerecruitment.ieAlan is available for a call between 9am and 5.30pm daily (outside of work hours calls / meetings can be arranged upon request).Please submit your CV via the link provided, in confidence.All applications will be dealt with in the strictest confidence and your CV will never be released without your prior approval.Job Ref Number: OR-13235#ORjobs
