- Oversee and supervise the preparation of all food items.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in strict adherence to specified food preparation requirements.
- Ensure the timely production of meals, with an ample supply available for different dining areas.
- Efficiently manage stock requirements, purchasing, and replenishment to minimize wastage and spoilage.
- Lead and guide the kitchen staff, making sure they are well-informed about their responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Provide training and mentorship to new staff, equipping them with the necessary skills to meet our high standards.
- Delegate kitchen duties in accordance with menu requirements.
- Monitor and assess the work of kitchen staff to ensure that all tasks are carried out to meet our expectations.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation at all times.
- Ensure the kitchen is fully compliant with all HACCP records and standards, maintaining food safety and quality at all times.
- Oversee and ensure all staff training is up to date, including food safety and culinary skills, to maintain a highly skilled and compliant kitchen team.
- Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure that financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved in alignment with roster management and the balance between sales and expenditures.
- Minimum 1 year as a head chef and 2 years as sous or similar level.
- Punctuality, organization, and trustworthiness, along with a professional appearance.
- Strong ability to manage and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
