Role Type: Permanent, Full-TimeAbout the RoleOptimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, seeks a seasoned Project Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable, long-established developer based in the South-East. With nearly four decades of building excellence, this company boasts award-winning residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, and student accommodation projects across the region.You will play a pivotal role in steering the commercial delivery of a landmark high-rise steel frame or RC concrete project, gaining exposure to complex engineering, stringent specifications, and large-scale delivery. The role will be based in the heart of Waterford City - with a very strong pipeline of local projects there after.Salary & Benefits
- €55k–€80k (DOE) (Higher for Senior)

- Lead the commercial management of high-rise construction projects
- Prepare and maintain cost plans, budgets, and financial forecasts
- Manage procurement of subcontractors and suppliers for steel frame and RC works
- Assess variations, progress claims, and prepare final accounts
- Negotiate contracts and agreements in line with company procedures
- Monitor project costs, identify risks, and implement cost controls
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams
- Provide accurate cost reporting to senior management
- Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field (or trade background with relevant experience)
- c.5+ years’ experience on steel frame or RC concrete projects
- Strong cost management and contract administration skills
- Excellent negotiation, reporting, and commercial acumen
- Full Irish driver’s licence and flexibility to travel as required
- Irish/UK market experience highly advantageous
