Job Opportunity: Production Manager – Food ManufacturingLocation: Co. WicklowEmployment Type: Full-time | Monday–Friday (some weekend work on a rotational basis)Salary: Negotiable, depending on experienceAdditional Benefits: Annual bonus, pension contributionA well-established food production company in Co. Wicklow is seeking a hands-on, people-focused Production Manager to oversee daily operations in a busy packhouse environment.This is a leadership role that will require a proactive and organised individual with experience in food manufacturing. You will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality, and motivating a team to deliver strong results in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of 20–25 production staff, including line leaders
Drive productivity and performance across all areas of production
Monitor and reduce waste through process improvement and training
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
Control overtime, manage production costs, and optimise stock use
Oversee daily and weekly production planning and ensure KPIs are met
Liaise with the warehouse and planning teams to streamline processes
Support audit preparation and quality system adherence
Maintain all required production and performance documentation
Champion a positive working culture and team development

Candidate Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years in a food production supervisory/management role
Strong leadership and people management skills
Proven ability to manage in a fast-moving environment
Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
Knowledge of quality systems, food safety, and health & safety protocols
Comfortable with administrative tasks, reporting, and KPI tracking
