This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to join a dynamic and fast-paced operation, supporting the smooth and efficient running of a busy distribution centre.The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing daily warehouse activities, leading a dedicated team, and ensuring operational targets are consistently achieved in line with business goals.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership - Supervise, motivate, and develop warehouse operatives, driving performance and maintaining a strong team culture.Operational Excellence - Manage daily workflows across receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory control.Health & Safety - Ensure full compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and site regulations while promoting a safe working environment.Performance Management - Monitor key KPIs including order accuracy, pick rates, and on-time dispatch, taking proactive action where needed.Training & Development - Support on-the-job training, ensuring competency and enabling staff progression within the team.Inventory Control - Maintain stock accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and assist with stock takes and cycle counts.Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with management, transport, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.Continuous Improvement - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer service.Experience & Qualifications3+ years' supervisory experience in warehousing or logistics, ideally within a high-volume distribution environment.Strong leadership and people management skills with a hands-on approach.Proven knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, and health & safety standards.Ability to analyse and act on operational data and KPIs.Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Competent in WMS and Microsoft Office applications.Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Forklift license is desirable but not essential.
